Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree; no substitutions permitted.
  • Four or more years of higher education and/or relationship management or recruiting professional experience, with additional related education eligible to substitute year-for-year.
  • Familiarity with the multiple work areas of a modern admissions office, including customer relationship management systems, reporting and analytics, recruitment, candidate evaluation and selection, marketing, on-campus programming, staff training, budget management, and staff development.
  • Strong process and project management skills, including the ability to develop these skills in staff members so they can manage work areas independently with appropriate management input.
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative solutions and processes for the changing admissions field.
  • Firm familiarity with the graduate management education prospective student market.
  • Ability to use admission and enrollment data to make data-driven decisions, measure and assess progress toward strategic goals, present data, and revise practices as needed.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and develop partnerships with internal and external constituents and stakeholders.
  • Strong staff management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and continuously refine the holistic working professional MBA recruitment and evaluation strategy, including data-driven approaches for market expansion, travel plans, and targeted sourcing to achieve strategic enrollment targets.
  • Serve as a core member of the Recruiting and Admissions Office Senior Leadership Team and as a senior advisor to the Assistant Dean by providing actionable intelligence, risk assessments, relationship management, and strategic recommendations for working professional MBA enrollment.
  • Represent Rice Business during domestic travel by delivering recruitment presentations and engaging candidate pools, corporate partners, and alumni networks.
  • Own the end-to-end working professional MBA candidate lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, relationship management, and cohort yield strategy.
  • Lead the working professional admissions committee and serve as the primary final application reader and evaluator for cohort composition.
  • Perform comprehensive, evidence-based evaluations of candidate application files and make formal recommendations for final admissions decisions.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to the Assistant Dean regarding potential scholarship awards.
  • Direct, mentor, and build a working professional recruitment and admissions team; manage workload allocation for travel and candidate engagement; set outreach standards; and optimize file-reading and evaluation workflows.
  • Advance artificial intelligence fluency and assessment technology to modernize candidate assessment, streamline applicant evaluation, and enhance data-driven selection frameworks.
  • Drive quantitative decision-making, predictive yield modeling, and data integrity within the Slate customer relationship management system, translating pipeline metrics into strategic updates for executive leadership.
  • Own candidate conversion and melt-mitigation strategy by nurturing admitted students from decision release through matriculation using personalized engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate in overseeing macro yield, melt-mitigation, and retention operations, including high-impact events and targeted touchpoints to convert admitted candidates into enrolled cohorts.
  • Manage unit resource allocation and budget spending across recruitment travel, external vendors, and candidate experience touchpoints to maximize return on recruitment investments.
  • Implement engagement strategies and maintain relationships with prospective students through personalized communication frameworks and events from inquiry through matriculation.
  • Collaborate with Rice Business stakeholders to align the product and brand with recruiting and admissions strategy.
  • Conduct evaluative interviews as needed to curate a high-caliber, diverse MBA cohort aligned with institutional standards and strategic enrollment goals.
  • Continuously learn about graduate management education trends and competitive market landscapes to support recruitment innovation.
  • Represent Rice Business with key strategic partners and align efforts with the evolving needs of the global business workforce.

Desired Qualifications
  • Extensive professional experience in relationship management, enrollment management, or sales.
