- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 10 years applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience
- Minimum 10 years software engineering experience at increasingly complex levels.
- Strong object-oriented programming expertise
- Strong expertise with Angular and Java Spring Boot desired
- Experience with containerization of applications
- Experience in Linux shell scripting
- Experience in cloud-based infrastructures and environments
- Agile development process and planning tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Strong understanding of modern software repository applications, branching schemas, and deployment concepts.
- Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less-experienced engineering staff.
- Work through an Agile-based full-cycle development that includes requirements analysis, design, & implementation.
- Apply software engineering standards and assist the engineering team in software system or subsystem development and documentation efforts.
- Understands and adheres to project schedules and stays within established budgets.
- Efficiently diagnose and debug front-end and back-end software issues.
- Clearly and effectively communicate problems and solutions with the team and external stakeholders, both verbally and electronically.
- Plans, conduct, technically directs and evaluates software projects across and agile development cycle.
- Strong understanding and application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts across the software development environment
- Experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience with back-end development, including node.js, web servers (Nginx, Apache, etc.), database servers, etc.
- Secure web-based development
- Database design and modern data storage and retrieval schemas
- Understanding of the DoD cyber training mission is preferred
