Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of mechanical quality assurance experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data centers, semiconductor, or industrial environments is required.
  • Journeyman experience is preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for all aspects of mechanical systems are required.
  • A complete understanding of mechanical systems used in industrial or high-tech environments is required.
  • Knowledge of field and workshop fabrication and construction protocols, means and methods, systems testing, and acceptance practices aligned with semiconductor industry standard specifications is required.
  • The ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams is required.
  • Familiarity with the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association is required.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • The employee must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, a hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators.
  • The employee must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including ladders, stairs, catwalks, and uneven surfaces.
  • The employee must occasionally lift or move more than 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Perform initial, follow-up, and final system walkdowns.
  • Work with contractors and subcontractors to ensure industry-specific and customer-specific procedures are met.
  • Understand and enforce regulations, codes, and industry standards for inspecting plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, polyvinyl chloride, and polyvinylidene fluoride systems.
  • Inspect all hydro-related systems.
  • Work with key stakeholders to plan and organize activities related to construction projects and discuss work procedures and quality issues.
  • Record and organize documentation concerning the implementation, maintenance, and effectiveness of the quality assurance program.
  • Complete all quality assurance documentation and other reports required for the project.
  • Formulate reports concerning work progress and related project activities.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner representatives to facilitate project activities.
  • Represent the company in pre-construction, design, and project meetings and attend operations meetings.
  • Perform final quality assurance inspections on installations.
  • Answer technical questions during project execution.
  • Review installations with the system owner and provide technical verification of hardware and configuration against design documents.
  • Ensure equipment and overall system operational acceptance testing and factory acceptance testing processes meet expectations.
