Providence provides health care services through a network of hospitals and clinics across several states in the U.S. Their operations include 51 hospitals and 829 clinics, offering a wide range of medical services to patients and communities. The organization is built on the belief that health is a human right, and it aims to improve the health of all individuals, particularly the poor and vulnerable. Providence's services are rooted in the traditions of the Sisters of Providence and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, who were pioneers in bringing health care to underserved areas. Unlike many other health systems, Providence emphasizes a mission-driven approach that integrates both Catholic and secular organizations to meet the diverse needs of the communities they serve. Their goal is to continue this legacy of compassionate care and to adapt to the evolving health care landscape for the benefit of all.
