Requirements
  • A master’s degree in clinical or counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to clients’ homes and possibly transport multiple clients at once.
  • Must live within a 30–45-minute travel time from the designated service area.
  • Must be willing to provide services inside clients’ homes.
  • Must be comfortable working with a diverse community of clients.
  • Must have knowledge of the types of families in the community.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical treatment using the Multisystemic Therapy treatment model and principles.
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family by gathering information on behaviors of concern and family and ecological strengths to inform conceptualization of problem behaviors and family interactions.
  • Continuously engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff, including school, probation, and child welfare personnel, in change-oriented treatment.
  • Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress with ongoing support from supervisors and team members.
  • Participate in regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities to acquire clinical skills within the Multisystemic Therapy treatment model.
  • Ensure, along with fellow clinicians, that clients have access to support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish.
  • Direct use of pragmatic family therapies, including structural, strategic, and functional approaches.
  • Therapy with children and adults using cognitive-behavioral techniques.
  • Couples therapy using behaviorally based approaches.
  • Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology, including family, peer, school, and neighborhood systems.
  • Collaboration and partnership with community agencies.
  • Previous work providing in-home or community-based therapy services.
