  • An Associate Degree or higher, at least 48 college units, or successful completion of the Instructional Aide exam.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB test clearance, with proof of TB clearance.
  • Punctuality and reliability.

  • Completion of the BACR application form and submission of a resume.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate regularly with the coordinator and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Submit weekly student attendance and snack reports.
  • Ensure school facilities and equipment are clean and organized after each use.
  • Attend and actively participate in all trainings and team meetings.
  • Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors, and language to students and staff.
  • Maintain appropriate, professional, and kid-friendly speech, behavior, and attire.
  • Actively supervise students to ensure their safety.
  • Provide program support as needed, including substituting.
  • Support students in developing skills for success in school and life.
  • Assist the Program Coordinator with day-to-day program operations at the school site, including facilities management, attendance tracking and reporting, staffing, discipline, state and school requirements, and compliance.
  • Assist in coordinating student activities designed to address program goals.
  • Support the Program Coordinator in supervising the program.
  • Write lesson plans, use learning targets and instructional strategies, and support program staff in developing these areas.
  • Clearly explain assignment instructions.
  • Assist the Coordinator in planning engaging enrichment and physical activities for students.
  • Work every day during program hours and on all required dates for the position.
