Clinical Program Coordinator
The University of Miami/UHealth department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Clinical Program Coordinator to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Clinical Program Coordinator assists in the development, organization, production, and evaluation of a variety of health promotion and educational program offerings for healthcare professionals, communities, organizations, and patients as part of a newly formed Center dedicated to advancing bereavement science, training, and care in the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and in the Department of Public Health Sciences in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Moreover, this employee provides general oversight to daily program activities in support of the University’s and Center’s mission. The Clinical Program Coordinator also monitors the financial performance of programs to meet Center goals and assists with short- and long-range budgetary planning.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Evaluates program effectiveness, analyzes results, and recommends appropriate action.
2. Coordinates program activities with other program, department or staff activities, ensuring optimum efficiency.
3. Trains, develops, and empowers staff to effectively perform their jobs.
4. Acts as a main point of contact for project funders, advisors, speakers, and participants, and recruits program participants, members, and volunteers.
5. Develops cooperative relationships with patients and families by projecting a positive image and creating a professional atmosphere.
6. Develops program communications and promotional literature for distribution, including newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
7. Prepares periodic reports, financial statements, and records for management or outside agencies.
8. Maintains patient confidentiality as well as the confidentiality of hospital business information.
9. Oversees the maintenance of established supply levels in unit and supply rooms.
10. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required

2 years of relevant experience preferred

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Department Specific Functions
1. Collaborates with staff and faculty to develop and disseminate Center curricula, materials, and services.
2. Assists with outreach, scheduling, and coordination for trainings, events, meetings, and services.
3. Assists with the preparation of materials for external and internal Center-related presentations.
4. Assists with application and execution of Center grants and funding opportunities.
5. Develops and maintains electronic and hard copy files and databases as needed.
6. Assists with maintenance of the Center’s website, social media, podcasts, newsletters, and other promotional materials as needed.
7. Provides training to new staff and familiarizes them with Center related systems, policies, and protocols.
8. Responsible for day-to-day administrative/clerical activities related to the Center as needed.
9. Assists with overall program quality assurance and compliance.
