Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding and training for new technicians.

The stock had already gained 19.28% in after-hours trading on Tuesday, closing the regular session at $13.69 before the results lit the fuse. Q2 2026 revenue came in at $20.7 million, a 52.3% year-over-year increase and a 50% sequential jump. That blew past the analyst consensus of $13.52 million by more than 52%. Earnings per share came in at -$0.30, missing the estimate of -$0.27 by about 11%. But investors looked past that one miss. Gross margin was the real story. It climbed to 21.5%, a dramatic turnaround from negative 11.7% in Q2 2025. That swing was driven by higher average selling prices and stronger revenue from Rapid Production Services. Backlog and capacity. Backlog nearly doubled year-over-year to $31 million as of June 30. Cash on the balance sheet rose to $91.1 million, while debt fell more than 70% to $8.2 million. CEO Arun Jaldi said during the earnings call that demand is outpacing what the company can currently produce. "We absolutely need 100 machines as of today to actually run all the programs on the demand we have," he said. To address that, Velo3D unveiled plans for a new Livermore Production Campus. The facility is expected to triple manufacturing capacity, with a target of 100 production machines by mid-2028. Jaldi was direct about where the company stands now. "The last one and a half year for Velo3D is just purely the stability of the company," he said. "Now we are beyond that point. Now it's a growth phase." He described the last 18 months as a difficult but necessary period. "It's been an 18-month really hard journey, and turning around a company is not easy. We have faced a lot of ups and downs, and I think we're in a position to thrive now." Guidance lifted. Velo3D raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $65 million-$75 million, up from the prior range of $60 million-$70 million. The company also maintained its expectation of reaching positive adjusted EBITDA in the second half of 2026. Demand is coming from defense, space, and energy end markets. Velo3D CEO says space race drives 3D printing demand, reports $20.7M Q2 revenue

Velo3D reported second-quarter revenue of $20.66 million, exceeding analyst expectations of $13.52 million, with revenue growing 52.3% year-over-year. The company posted an earnings per share loss of 30 cents, slightly better than the consensus estimate of 31 cents. During the quarter, the company raised approximately $109.4 million in gross proceeds through a registered direct offering and at-the-market programme, reducing total outstanding debt by over 70% to $8.2 million. Metal 3D printing company launches production facility in Livermore. Velo3D campus to provide components for defense, aerospace and energy sectors Fremont-based company Velo3D has primed its first facility in Livermore where it is set to manufacture 3D-printed metal parts for strategic industries. Spanning nearly 289,000 square feet, the new campus dubbed Forge 1 is set to be among the largest metal additive manufacturing facilities in North America, according to company officials. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for Forge 1 was held July 15, but the company is poised to begin operations in phases as its systems are installed. "Forge 1 is much more than a new production facility," Velo3D CEO Arun Jeldi said in a statement announcing the campus opening. "It represents our commitment to helping customers and our nation build a stronger, more resilient manufacturing foundation." Velo3D created Forge 1 in response to growing demand from industries such as aerospace, defense and energy to scale up the production of pertinant metal parts domestically. At the new campus, there is about 270,000 square feet of production space and infrastructure to support over 40 large-format metal additive manufacturing systems, according to Velo3D officials. These systems will print 3D metal components. Velo3D can expand its fleet of systems to over 100 systems, according to company officials. Overall, work at Forge 1 is set to support machine assembly, production-scale printing, post-processing, inspection, quality assurance and customer acceptance, Velo3D officials said. Between the company headquarters in Fremont and Forge 1, located at 711 Challenger St., Velo3D officials expect to operate a total of up to 125 metal additive manufacturing systems. The company's headquarters in Fremont will continue to serve as the locus of research and development, applications engineering, process development, customer collaboration and qualification, according to the statement. Velo3D's investment in Livermore creates high-skilled manufacturing careers, strengthens the local supply chain and generates tax revenue that supports essential community services, Livermore Mayor John Marchand told Livermore Vine. "It also reinforces Livermore's position as a city where innovation gets built and where companies developing the next generation of manufacturing technologies choose to invest," Marchand said in an email interview. "That's a win not only for our residents today, but for Livermore's long-term future." Officials say the almost 289,000-sq-ft (26,849-sq-m) new building in Livermore, Calif., is one of the largest dedicated to additive manufacturing in North America. The facility, which has almost 10 million cu ft of production space, will help Velo3D meet customer demand in aerospace, defense and energy as the AM industry evolves. The plant should open this year. It will have 36-ft-tall ceilings, allowing Velo3D to install 40-plus large-format systems now and larger ones in the future. It also has capacity for machine manufacturing, in-house post-processing operations and production-scale manufacturing of mission-critical components.
