Requirements
  • OSHA 30 Hour General Industry certification.
  • At least 7 years of experience managing EHS programs in construction, general industry, process, manufacturing, or similar organizations.
  • At least one year of management and oversight experience for direct reports and/or management training.
  • Advanced coursework or training in environmental, health, and safety subjects and college-level courses and degrees.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to drive to project sites with company vehicles.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial hygiene and general industry safety and health practices.
  • Strong computer aptitude, including fluency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Responsibilities
  • Support implementation and administration of the ITAC EHS Program.
  • Develop industrial EHS assessments, policies, programs, and plans.
  • Lead and coordinate safety meetings, conduct training, and facilitate incident investigations at manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication operations.
  • Communicate safety and health compliance requirements, policies, and best practices to project employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with operations to assess needs and implement documented safety and health practices and solutions.
  • Observe behaviors and practices, identify deficiencies and hazards, propose new or updated policies, and create training information.
  • Support operations with effective EHS-related services.
  • Help create, improve, and comply with job-specific standard operating procedures and EHS policies.
  • Integrate into the operations group as a mentor and leader.
  • Determine an effective work schedule and independently conduct required safety and health tasks.
  • Perform detailed incident investigations and produce incident reports.
  • Provide EHS technical support and training concerning shop operations to managers and shop employees.
  • Evaluate shop practices, including emergency response procedures, for effectiveness and compliance, and identify weaknesses or potential gaps.
  • Enter training and audit records into the online system and ensure OSHA-compliant recordkeeping.
  • Perform equipment, location, and tool inspections and ensure completion as needed.
  • Report trends and serious recurring deficiencies from leading indicators to the EHS Director.
  • Communicate project conditions and concerns with other EHS Managers and Project Managers.
  • Recommend air-monitoring and specialty devices; perform air sampling, monitoring, data logging, and basic industrial hygiene tasks.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training and instruction in varied meeting formats.

  • OSHA 500 or OSHA 501 Outreach Trainer certification.
  • OSHA-level courses related to general industry and industrial hygiene.
  • Forklift and overhead crane certifications.
  • Machine guarding courses.
