THE ROLE

The Chief of Staff will hold a critical, impactful position helping doxo drive productivity, strategic initiatives, and key projects. You will work closely with the CEO and in many situations be required to act on the CEO’s behalf, working closely with doxo’s entire leadership team to achieve greater business velocity, faster decision making, and aligned focus to drive business results.

Doxo culture is data-driven and analytic.  Candidates should demonstrate strong objective problem solving skills, ability to use data and quantitative analysis to evaluate and drive decisions, and the ability to work with teams to align on objectives and resolve differences of approach to achieve outcomes.

This is an ideal position for a candidate to gain C-suite experience as part of a pathway to future positions of executive leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Act as trusted confidant to the CEO
• Establish a close working relationship, providing advice and feedback, acting as a sounding board, and offering a fresh perspective
• Lead and support special projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, coordinating cross-functional teams, establishing timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure successful and timely completion
• Use analytic tools to collect and analyze data, contribute to development of KPIs and decision making frameworks, and provide data-driven insights to support decision making processes
• Anticipate opportunities and challenges relevant to projects or initiatives and take appropriate mitigating steps
• Ensure that the CEOs time, energy, and impact are optimized
• Work with teams to execute follow up actions from key decisions and ensure execs and teams are prepared prior to progress updates
• Support and facilitate the leadership team in communicating the decision-making, program management, and initiative implementations throughout doxo
• Support the CEO in communicating overall business strategy and goals to each function, while helping set these goals at the beginning of every quarter

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced graduate degree preferred.  Degrees and/or experience demonstrating quantitative analytic capabilities are strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience working and/or engaging actively with  executive level leadership required
• Demonstrated initiative taking in work and educational experience
• High degree of professionalism and executive level business standards.  
• Very strong writing skills, especially in simplifying complex issues, and using data to support and explain key points, decisions, and assessing outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to write and speak with high standards of professionalism - able to develop materials for executive and board use
• Strong influence skills with a track record of getting buy in for your ideas
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of what drives value for a business
• Strong executive presence and EQ
• Willingness to broach difficult topics, drive forward with challenging or unpopular decisions
• Versatility with the ability to collaborate and partner with a diverse range of teams and individuals
• Data driven with experience driving decisions through quantitative analysis
• Velocity and agility that drives strategic and hands-on work
• Preferred: Experience in the startup space
• Preferred: Consulting experience with a focus on technical products
• Preferred: Product and/or Program Management experience
• Preferred: Experience working directly with a SaaS product

The annual base salary for this role is $140,000 - $190,000.  Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Stock Options are also part of the compensation package for full time roles.
