Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial systems management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial software, ERPs, reporting tools, and budgeting platforms. Familiarity with Netsuite a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, and maintenance of financial systems, including accounting software, reporting tools, and budgeting platforms.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Tempus' financial processes and requirements to optimize system functionality and integration.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, finance, and other relevant teams to define system requirements and ensure seamless implementation of new financial technologies.
  • Drive process improvements to streamline workflows, enhance data accuracy, and accelerate reporting cycles.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve challenges promptly.
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial data in systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Develop and produce regular financial reports, dashboards, and analyses to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
  • Provide insights into financial performance and trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with finance, engineering, operations, and other teams to understand their needs and align financial systems with overall business objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between finance and engineering teams to bridge communication gaps and ensure effective project execution.
  • Build, develop, and manage a high-performing team responsible for financial systems, data management, and reporting.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Ensure financial systems and processes adhere to industry regulations, internal controls, and data security standards.
  • Identify and address potential risks related to financial data integrity, system vulnerabilities, and process inefficiencies.
