Requirements
  • S. or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering strategic outcomes in technology-driven environments, ideally within sports, health, or data-intensive industries.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in program management, successfully overseeing complex initiatives with multiple interconnected projects.
  • Experience operating within a dual mandate environment, balancing internal strategic goals with external partnership requirements.
  • Strong background in data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and computer vision algorithm development; understanding of how these technologies can drive actionable insights for human performance and safety.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including executive-level communication and negotiation with diverse internal and external parties.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale programs from inception to completion, encompassing planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience in program management methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with large, complex datasets, ideally including biomechanical and skeletal tracking data, medical and health records, and performance data.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments and services (e.g., AWS) and their application in data processing and AI/ML solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability in budget planning, forecasting, and management for multi-million-dollar programs.
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating program-level risks.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance requirements, particularly concerning sensitive health and performance data).
  • Experience translating complex technical concepts and data insights into clear, concise narratives and presentations for non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Converting business objectives into a multi-year technical roadmap in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading and facilitating strategic planning sessions, including Midterm Planning Workshops and quarterly Long-Range Planning (LRP) Sessions.
  • Defining problems for strategic objectives, including scoping client challenges, articulating value propositions, and establishing measurable success criteria and performance benchmarks.
  • Acting as the 'default' preparer and briefer of slide decks for external executive-level engagements.
  • Leading and coordinating Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), providing high-level overviews of work accomplished, budget status, and inter-party 'asks.'
  • Facilitating 'Key Leader' engagements with external stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the daily and weekly execution of the digital program, ensuring seamless cross-collaboration between multiple technical and non-technical teams (e.g., UI/UX, DevSecOps, Data Engineering/Data Science, Analytics).
  • Coordinating individual projects and managing their interdependencies to ensure deliverables align with overall program outcomes.
  • Conducting regular synchronization meetings with key stakeholders to monitor status, address blockers, and ensure situational awareness.
  • Managing the overall program budget.
  • Coordinating with external stakeholder finance/legal teams to resolve contract issues.
  • Performing monthly budget forecasting and adjusting resource allocation based on burn rates and strategic priorities.
  • Optimizing resource utilization across all projects within the program.
  • Proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating program-level risks, including technical blockers, administrative hurdles, and data access issues, often looking 6-12 weeks ahead.
  • Resolving issues and bottlenecks to keep technical teams unblocked and focused.
  • Elevating critical political problems or requests for intervention/support to senior leadership when necessary.
  • Overseeing and contributing to weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and defensibility of reported progress and expenditures.
  • Maintaining core program documentation, including program initiation documents and strategic roadmaps.
  • Ensuring adherence to stringent company and client data protection protocols.
  • Navigating the complexities of data access and usage, particularly concerning injury analysis limitations.
  • Supporting company and client marketing efforts by identifying success stories and providing information to showcase the platform’s contributions to health and safety.
  • Identifying and prioritizing projects that deliver value for both injury reduction goals and marketing/commercialization opportunities.
