- A master's degree.

Stoneridge unveils EVO ECU Platform to simplify commercial vehicle electronics. August 11, 2026 August 10, 2026 Stoneridge has announced additional details of its new EVO ECU Platform, which will debut at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany, from September 14-20. This new platform targets commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, and off-highway applications, seeking to make the electronic system simpler while offering connectivity, diagnostics, software updates and future software-based capabilities. EVO integrates processes that typically are performed in several electronic control units in a single architecture making it easier to update software, perform diagnostics and introduce new functionalities without having to modify the hardware. In terms of the advantages for fleet operators, EVO is meant to improve vehicle availability by way of enhanced diagnostics, remote software updates and vehicle intelligence. Modularity of the software and cybersecurity are key aspects of this new platform where Stoneridge will partner with Green Hills Software to create a scalable architecture that will integrate separate safety critical functions and allow for the introduction of new functionalities. It is designed to work in very harsh conditions where it can resist heat, vibrations, dust and long operating hours, all in a demanding environment for commercial vehicles. "Commercial vehicles are becoming increasingly connected and intelligent, but traditional vehicle architectures were not designed to support the pace of innovation happening today," said Christian Leblanc, Global Vice President of Product and Project Management at Stoneridge. "EVO provides a scalable platform that helps simplify integration, improve vehicle performance and give our customers the flexibility they need to adapt as technology continues to evolve."

Stoneridge has appointed Scott Humphrey as chief financial officer and treasurer. Humphrey will oversee the company's global finance organisation and support operational excellence and strategic growth initiatives. Humphrey brings over 25 years of international finance experience. Most recently, he served as CFO at Fox Factory Holding Corporation, where he supported rapid growth, led acquisitions and enhanced financial infrastructure. He previously held CFO roles at Hibbett Sports and Ciner Resources LP. Humphrey holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College and an MBA from Georgetown University. Bob Hartman, who served as interim CFO since April 2026, will continue as chief accounting officer. The Novi, Michigan-based company supplies electronic systems and technologies for on- and off-highway transportation sectors globally.
Stoneridge reported first quarter 2026 sales of $160.8 million, up 9.2% from the fourth quarter of 2025. The automotive electronics supplier posted a net loss of $27.0 million, including a $9.2 million loss on the disposal of its Control Devices business. The company announced two major business awards totalling over $135 million in estimated lifetime revenue, including an OEM-integrated MirrorEye programme with its fourth North American customer and a next-generation electronic controls programme for a global off-highway manufacturer. Stoneridge updated its full-year revenue guidance to $645 million–$670 million, an increase of $20 million to reflect contract manufacturing revenue from the Control Devices sale. The company reaffirmed adjusted EBITDA guidance of $20 million–$25 million and expects to refinance its existing credit facility by November 2026.
