Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of housekeeping experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity, is required.
  • Expertise in housekeeping operations, cleaning protocols, and facility maintenance standards is required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop staff, are required.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities are required.
  • Proficiency in quality control and attention to detail is required.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Problem-solving and decisive decision-making capabilities are required.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff to ensure adherence to cleaning standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of all areas to verify cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Manage daily housekeeping operations, including task assignments, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials, and coordinate procurement as needed.
  • Address guest concerns and complaints and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Collaborate with front desk, maintenance, and management to coordinate operations and support guest experiences.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills, performance, and career development.
  • Monitor and analyze housekeeping metrics, including turnaround times and quality scores, to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across housekeeping operations.
  • Prepare reports on departmental performance, staffing, and operational challenges for management review.
  • Foster a supportive team environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Adapt strategies to address operational challenges and changing organizational needs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A housekeeping management certification or equivalent professional credential is preferred.
  • Experience with housekeeping management software or property management systems is preferred.
  • First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification is preferred.
  • Budget management and cost control experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Hindi or regional languages is preferred.
  • A demonstrated track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs is preferred.
  • Experience implementing sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning practices is preferred.
