What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage a team of software developers, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, primarily in Java.
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to align software development with company strategy and customer needs.
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching, performance reviews, and identifying educational opportunities.
- Ensure code quality, sustainability, and the use of best practices in software development.
- Drive continuous process improvements and integrate new technologies as appropriate to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and risk assessment, ensuring timely delivery of software projects.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in software development, with a strong technical background in Java.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in managing software development teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Nice to haves include experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms, understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and knowledge of database management and architecture, both SQL and NoSQL.
