Under general supervision, prepares physical exercise programs and administers graded cardio-pulmonary exercise stress tests. Responsible for training and demonstrating appropriate exercise techniques and equipment usage, as well as documenting and submitting patient progress.

Job Description
Develops, implements, and evaluates exercise programs for patients. Conducts testing that assesses cardiovascular and metabolic effects of exercise for cardiac rehabilitation. Follows testing protocols and selects appropriate testing protocol for the patient. Monitors patient during testing. Calculates and records testing results. Coordinates with cross-functional patient care teams. May design exercise prescriptions, instructional materials, home exercise guidelines, and discharge instructions. Conducts exercise training sessions for patients. Requires a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. Schedule M-F, normal business hours. Closed on major holidays and weekends.
Additional Job Description
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 2-4 years
State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
