Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 15 or more years of experience, 13 years with MBA, 10 years with PhD/equivalent

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of public sector forecasts, plans, strategies, and operational commitments and ensure delivery of all Op Plan commitments.
  • Develop and execute an integrated public business strategy to ensure success and uptake of Takeda Vaccines in the private institutions and public sector (Quasi-Public ER Payors, State and UIP access).
  • Develop effective strategies and tactics to drive underlying demand in the public business overall and in targeted areas to ensure the most vulnerable patients are up to date on missed vaccinations.
  • Ensure ongoing monitoring of public performance across channels with routine updates to Brand Teams and Senior Leadership.
  • Lead presentations to Takeda Vaccines senior leaders to secure endorsement for Public Health strategic and tactical recommendations.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders involved in the development Public strategies and tactics including but not limited to Marketing, Market Access, Legal, Public Affairs, Medical Affairs and Customer Facing Teams.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with the Marketing Team to enable effective strategic and tactical coordination by customer segment/channel to maximize our vaccines in public segment opportunities.
  • Partner with Public affairs lead, Market Access lead, and other internal and external stakeholders to help address immunization disparities in the publicly insured/underinsured population.
  • Oversee the development of tools, programs and messaging to increase vaccine adoption and adherence in public sector channels.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with the India sales team to ensure seamless execution of public strategies.
  • Support training and other initiatives to advance public business acumen among Customer Facing Colleagues.
  • Provide strategic direction, management oversight of direct reports including coaching, goal setting and ongoing performance assessments.
  • Support developmental and training opportunities for direct reports.
  • Represent the VBU as an enterprise leader during cross-functional team meetings.
  • Participate and contribute as an active VBU LT member.
Desired Qualifications
  • MBA, MPH or similar
  • Vaccines Public business knowledge
  • Experience in managing regional/zonal or national sales team.
  • Experience in vaccines marketing, market access, public or government policy.
  • Experience in launching new vaccines.
  • Experience in working with government agencies and public health organizations.
