Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years large scale programming and systems experience
  • Experience working with source management system platforms such as Git
  • Experience developing Microservices, REST APIs, and other database technologies using Java
  • Experience with eCommerce concepts, systems, and platforms
  • Experience with Containers (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Experience developing applications on Unix/Linux platforms
  • Experience in full life-cycle agile software development
  • Experience with Cloud technologies and platforms
  • Experience in object-oriented analysis and design
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and implementation approaches
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desire to build, collaborate and develop strong and positive team relationships
  • Attention to detail, organization skills, and strong work ethic
  • You possess a drive and passion for quality with the ability to inspire, excite and motivate other team members
Responsibilities
  • Provide component and system level designs for large-scale commerce systems under Sony's PlayStation Network Platform
  • Implement interactive web-based services and commerce capabilities using industry leading technology choices
  • Maintain ongoing operational ownership of components deployed to the production environment
  • Become a domain expert and provide strong technical leadership
  • Develop and maintain tools using Java, Go, and other industry relevant languages
  • Develop AWS based systems using managed services such as: AWS Lambda (Python and Java), AWS S3, AWS SQS
  • Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring others., have a strong desire to educate others and help people with problems
  • Lead and develop innovative techniques, design patterns and tools that take advantage of our advanced platform architectures to increase quality and performance on PlayStation® platforms
  • Promote and champion innovation within the systems team to produce creative solutions to problems
  • Develop projects frameworks that will be the foundation of future research projects
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment/Delivery (CI/CD) concepts and practices
  • Be able to perform responsibilities with little direction or supervision
