StackBlitz provides a browser-based environment for building and deploying full-stack web applications without requiring any software installation on a local computer. The platform uses a technology called WebContainers to run Node.js directly in the browser, allowing code to boot instantly, work offline, and remain secure. Unlike traditional cloud editors that rely on remote servers, StackBlitz executes all processes locally within the browser tab and includes an AI tool called Bolt.new that can write and manage entire applications through natural language commands. The company's goal is to simplify the development lifecycle by removing the friction of environment setup and providing a fast, collaborative workspace for developers and enterprises.
