Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the construction, budget, and cash management for a single assigned project to ensure compliance with the project contract and owner needs.
  • Develop and manage the project schedule, pay estimates, project procedures, staffing requirements, and equipment resources needed for accurate and timely project production.
  • Assess the initial project contract and supporting documents for completeness and work with the owner to resolve specification, contract conflict, and scheduling issues.
  • Oversee engineering and scheduling teams to identify and negotiate proposed change orders, engaging the Area Manager for support as needed.
  • Create and present monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports to Flatiron leadership.
  • Maintain working relationships with Flatiron supporting departments and the project owner to support the project work plan and payment schedule.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for third-party stakeholders, including landowners, local business owners, and government agencies engaged during the project.
  • Review and approve internal and external media news releases regarding the project.
  • Ensure project safety reviews and procedures are followed by conducting weekly safety checks and participating in safety meetings and monthly review meetings.
  • Support the safety programs of the project and the owner safety programs.
  • Review and approve staffing and equipment needs for efficient and effective project production.
  • Participate in the dispute resolution process with support from internal legal counsel.
  • Provide input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to ensure efficient and effective project production.
  • Lead project closeout procedures, finalize contract paperwork, obtain retainages, and work with management to resolve project claims.
  • Lead the project debrief cycle to review all aspects of project work and completion.
