Requirements
  • Must possess, at minimum, a 10th-grade education.
  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Must be able to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must be able to solve practical problems involving varied concrete situations with limited standardization.
  • Must be able to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and assist with resident evacuation during emergencies.
Responsibilities
  • Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services according to their assessments, care plans, and supervisor direction.
  • Identify residents before administering treatments or serving meals.
  • Record resident information, care observations, incidents, accidents, and other required entries accurately and descriptively.
  • Report changes in residents' conditions, complaints, grievances, injuries, skin breakdown, abuse allegations, unauthorized disclosures, and missing residents to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Perform only trained nursing care procedures and special treatments, using authorized abbreviations and trained equipment.
  • Prepare rooms and residents for admissions, greet and escort residents, introduce them to roommates and personnel, and make them comfortable.
  • Inventory, mark, store, pack, and transport residents' personal possessions during room transfers or discharge.
  • Assist with resident transportation, including loading and unloading vehicles and moving residents to rooms or receiving areas.
  • Maintain a warm, calm, and positive environment throughout the unit and shift.
  • Participate in nursing reports and meetings to identify problem areas and improve services.
  • Follow policies and procedures for blood and body fluid exposure, infectious materials, hazardous chemicals, accidents, incidents, confidentiality, and protected health information.
  • Make beds, provide extra covers, and keep residents' water pitchers clean, filled, and accessible.
  • Measure and record residents' temperatures, pulses, respirations, weight, and other required observations.
  • Frequently check residents who cannot call for help and ensure their personal care needs are met.
  • Assist residents with food arrangements, record food and fluid intake, and perform after-meal care.
  • Assist residents with dental and mouth care, bathing, hair care, dressing, undressing, and changing wet or soiled clothing and linens.
  • Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, physical examinations, therapy, dental procedures, and laboratory or X-ray work.
  • Lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents using beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
  • Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
  • Observe disoriented and comatose residents and record and report findings.
  • Honor residents' refusals of treatment and report those requests to a supervisor.
  • Follow work assignments and schedules, cooperate with nursing and interdepartmental personnel, and notify the facility of lateness or absence.

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion.
