RBC offers no reopening date as Saba branch remains closed.

RBC offers no reopening date as Saba branch remains closed. Sat 25 Jul 2026 Saba THE BOTTOM, Saba - RBC Royal Bank has confirmed that its Saba branch remains closed, but has provided no concrete date for the return of in-person banking services. In an update issued on Friday, July 24, the bank thanked clients and the Saba community for their patience and said it was working to maintain access to withdrawals, deposits and other banking services. The statement, however, offered no indication of when the branch may reopen or what progress has been made towards restoring face-to-face service. The branch has reportedly been closed for several weeks following the death of Ms. Reed, who worked at the Saba location. RBC did not address the reason for the closure or provide information about its staffing situation in Friday's statement. On July 10, the Public Entity Saba said the continued closure was having a significant impact on residents and businesses that depend on in-person banking. It called on RBC to provide the community with an official update and noted that no reopening date had been confirmed. RBC's latest communication primarily lists the alternatives available during the closure. The ATM remains operational for withdrawals and deposits, although deposits may be held for up to one week and the machine may periodically be unavailable for maintenance. The business depository is being processed weekly, while customers are also directed to digital banking and RBC's telephone Advice Centre. The bank said further information would be shared through notices at the branch, online banking and social media. For now, however, Saba remains without an operational bank branch and without clarity on when normal service will resume. 46 times read
