Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in life sciences, statistics, data engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Two to five years of experience in data engineering or a related discipline, preferably within clinical research or a contract research organization environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Power BI and DAX.
  • Experience designing and managing business intelligence systems, including dashboards, reporting pipelines, and data models.
  • Ability to interpret and visualize data to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop requirements and specifications with stakeholders through discovery analysis of business needs and required technologies.
  • Create Power BI visuals and use the DAX language.
  • Prepare, correct, modify, and analyze datasets using complex analytic techniques.
  • Use and understand data models.
  • Develop, apply version control, and perform validation, preferably according to 21 CFR Part 11 or ISO standards.
  • Work with small teams of developers from project start to finish, including managing scope and technical changes.
  • Mentor technical and non-technical colleagues toward a better understanding of data science methodologies and results.
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of database structure principles.
  • Design and manage business intelligence systems, including dashboards, reporting pipelines, and data models.
  • Interpret and visualize data to support reporting and decision-making.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong R programming skills for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with R Shiny.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, D3.js, R, or R Shiny.
  • Understanding of the drug development process.
  • Experience working with contract research organizations or health systems and with scientific and clinical data or terminology.
  • Basic understanding of CDASH, CDISC, HL7, or FHIR standards.
