  • A Master's degree in healthcare or a similar field is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and oversee activities of the physical therapy department, including compliance with governmental and accrediting-agency regulations.
  • Provide skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders, current standards of care, and patient evaluations and test results.
  • Design home exercise programs and recommend or provide assistive equipment and follow-up programs to support therapeutic plans after discharge.
  • Document and maintain confidential clinical and administrative patient records, including limitations, interventions, treatments, responses, progress, and discharge summaries.
  • Record treatment charges daily and complete charge tickets accurately and promptly.
  • Facilitate development and monitor the department mission, policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Oversee development and implementation of post-offer testing, functional capacity evaluation, and pre-employment screening programs.
  • Conduct testing in accordance with standard practice and applicable laws.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and model teamwork, leadership, and professionalism.
  • Develop strategic planning and marketing activities to increase the practice's visibility in the community.
  • Administer and comply with company, infection-control, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the department follows company guidelines for billing and collections of department services.
  • Provide direction to physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and aides regarding patient care and related activities.
  • Ensure department compliance with the Georgia State Physical Therapy Act, codes, and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
  • Provide backup for administrative staff by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking in patients.
  • Attend meetings as requested.
