Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Law, Tax or related field
  • 2+ years of tax experience which includes at least 2+ years of sales/use tax experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Avalara tax software solution and SAP
  • Project management skills with proactive process improvement experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about working in a dynamic environment
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate on a monthly basis the multi-state sales tax return and GST for the USA and Canada through Avalara
  • Manage tax accounting details, general ledgers, and systems of original entry
  • Communicate with Jurisdiction Tax Departments to ensure proper tax obligations
  • Coordinate, track, and respond to tax notices and bills
  • Assist the Tax Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support initiatives and ensure compliance
  • Drive ongoing process improvements with a focus on automation
