Requirements
  • A Master Plumber License is required.

Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components.
  • Diagnose the causes of problems or failures in water systems to identify equipment and system repair or replacement needs.
  • Install, maintain, and repair domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Repair and maintain steam stations, valves, heating and condensation return stations, and sewer and storm drains.
  • Maintain the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systems.
  • Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and produce monthly reports.
  • Develop procedures and conduct preventive maintenance and service inspections of backflow devices and cross-connection control awareness.
  • Respond to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
  • Identify and recommend long-term needs and strategies for plumbing systems and components to achieve cost savings.
  • Follow Standard Precautions and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Inform personnel about procedures or work-order status to support decisions, appropriate action, and compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Provide electrical services to facilities or buildings within a defined region when serving as a dedicated service technician.
  • Travel to multiple sites to perform role functions when required.
  • Coordinate, maintain, and repair energy management systems when required.
  • Participate in assigned meetings, workshops, training, and seminars to convey or gather information required for job functions.
  • Lead training and department orientation for new associates.
  • Lead assigned special projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for facilities stakeholders, including Plumbers I and II.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Backflow preventer certification is preferred.
  • Medical gas certification is preferred.
