  • Responsible for developing and handling governance standards for all models in use at Chime, leading to more optimal use of models, and increased confidence in model outcomes
  • Lead the second-line challenge responsibility for testing models, model usage, model overlays, and model documentation, including leveraging testing and reporting software
  • Lead interaction with bank and regulatory partners in all areas related to model standards, management and documentation, encompassing quality, use, overlay, governance, construction, validation and monitoring of model performance
  • Provide clear and insightful analysis, feedback and critique of models by way of written and/or oral reports to business units and senior management
  • Direct a team to perform independent validation of models in use at Chime on an iterative basis and in line with OCC 2011-12
  • Maintain effective relationships and communication channels with model user, owners, and governance partners
  • Continually improve and enhance credit, fincrime, fraud and marketing modeling approaches and methodologies to promote alignment with industry standard processes
  • Act as liaison with model validation teams, internal and external auditors and bank partners
  • A quantitative degree in a field like Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics - advanced degrees preferred
  • 8+ years experience in quantitative modeling of market risk; capital markets management; capital planning and stress testing; risk management; and/or model risk management in a financial institution
  • Experience crafting, adjusting, validating, testing, monitoring and documenting quantitative models required
  • Deep understanding of regulatory expectations as they relate to OCC 2011-12, model risk management standards and best practices
  • Deep understanding of FRB's Supervisory Guidance on MRM SR 11-7 and 15-18
  • Experience in governance or second-line roles; familiarity with COSO risk framework
  • Experience working directly with regulators and preparation of material designed to report to the Board and regulators
