Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Driver's License required to travel to field laboratory sites
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures
  • Ability to communicate well (verbal and written) and build rapport quickly with students, staff, and faculty
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
  • Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Strong initiative to solve problems
  • Able to work well with interdependent teams and initiatives
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including proficiency with Excel spreadsheets

Responsibilities
  • Installs, maintains, and operates field equipment at on-campus and remote research laboratory sites
  • Collects and processes water samples
  • Assists with computation and data entry of hydrologic-related field data
  • Assists with research project management
  • Record keeping
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in a Biological or Physical Science
  • Strong writing and speaking skills (English)
  • One year of water-related job experience
