Requirements
  • Candidates must be enrolled at an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related degree.
  • Candidates must be able to work at least 30 hours a week during regular business hours.
  • Candidates must be able to use time productively, work independently and within a team, maintain attention to detail, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Candidates must be able to occasionally climb permanent and temporary stairs or ladders, use passenger hoists, navigate active construction areas, and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, measure, and analyze quality risks in the business and support efforts to eliminate them.
  • Lead root-cause-analysis meetings.
  • Read shop drawings and assist the warranty team with logging calls and updating costs.
  • Build visualizations for warranty and rework data.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Team to discuss quality observations and warranty trends and support resolution of quality concerns.
  • Support root-cause analysis of events that compromise quality on construction projects and support initiatives for sustainable solutions.
  • Review equipment documentation and construction shop drawings to mitigate quality and safety risks and identify economization opportunities.
  • Attend periodic jobsite and shop visits to learn about mechanical and plumbing systems, verify installation compliance with quality standards, and identify lean risks to safety and productivity.
  • Maintain and update the warranty call log, tracking manufacturer or vendor information, root cause, call status, and project-team updates.
  • Assist warranty coordinators by scheduling service calls with dispatch and coordinating technician availability.
  • Facilitate the creation of permanent reporting capabilities using Smartsheet or other software and technologies for the Quality Team and internal customers.
