Requirements

  • Some basic knowledge or experience in electrical engineering sciences i.e. Electrical Safety, Electron Theory, AC/DC Basics, Wires and Cables, Computer Electronics, Electrical Testing Equipment
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with experienced engineers, technicians and other mentors in a laboratory or test floor environment
  • Create and execute test or physical characterization plans that assess the electrical performance and characteristics against design and functional requirements
  • Learn principles of system analysis, defect identification and repair
  • Be trained in the use of state-of-the-art tools to test, manipulate and inspect product chips
  • Work with engineers to interpret and consolidate obtained data

IBM Sells Turkish Subsidiary for $135B

IBM, one of the world's largest tech companies, sold its Turkish subsidiary, Seri Bilgi Teknolojileri, to Destek Bilgisayar. This acquisition, initially reported last year, has now been officially approved. IBM, with assets over $135 billion and revenue of $62 billion, had established Seri in 2002. Destek, founded in 1996 and with around 600 employees, has acquired 100% of Seri, which provides EFT Payment Terminal services with nearly 200 employees.
