Manager – Oncology Specialty Services

We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Manager, Oncology Specialty Services to join our team and help lead our outpatient oncology operations in the Louisville, KY area. As the Manager, Oncology Specialty Services, you will play a key role in the operational success of Baptist Health's Oncology physician practices throughout the area. You’ll be responsible for driving the day-to-day operations, fostering strong communication with physicians, patients, and practice staff, and ensuring the financial health of the oncology service line. Your leadership will support a collaborative and patient-centered environment, making a direct difference in the lives of our patients.

This is a highly visible and impactful role where you will collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Operations, local hospital leadership, and Baptist Health Medical Group leadership to guide strategic and operational initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of both clinical and administrative functions across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of assigned oncology practices, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Financial Stewardship: Collaborate with leadership and finance teams to create and manage annual budgets, ensuring financial performance targets are met. Lead front-end revenue cycle processes, including collections, charge entry, and eligibility verification.
• Collaboration & Communication: Act as a key liaison between physicians, practice staff, and hospital leadership, fostering effective communication and collaboration across the board.
• Service Excellence: Ensure all patient care and communications are completed promptly and with exceptional quality. Strive to elevate patient experience through operational efficiency.
• Staff Management: Supervise and guide practice staff, work with Human Resources to optimize staffing levels, and help with staff development and performance improvement.
• Strategic Planning: Assist the Director of Operations in business planning and market research, contributing to the future growth and success of Baptist Health’s oncology services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.  Master’s degree preferred.  A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive management experience in a medical practice setting, ideally in oncology or a related healthcare field.
• Proficient in practice management software and a solid understanding of financial systems (budgets, income statements, A/R).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively address and resolve complex operational challenges with innovative solutions.
• Some travel within the region is required.
