Windows Platform Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Windows Platform Automation Engineer to join our Windows Image Bakery squad. This role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable Windows images for use across a large, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain automated solutions for Windows image creation and management.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer to ensure consistent and repeatable image creation processes.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to streamline Windows image customization, deployment, and compliance tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Ensure all Windows images adhere to organizational security and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the image creation pipeline, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Windows automation and IaC technologies, applying best practices to the team’s workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in automating Windows environments at scale.
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and task orchestration.
• Familiarity with IaC tools, with hands-on experience in Ansible, Terraform, and Packer being highly beneficial.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating system internals, security configurations, and compliance standards.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS.
• Proficiency in VMware environments and virtualization technologies.
• Experience working in agile teams, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large-scale IT environments with a focus on infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with IaC workflows.
• Knowledge of Python scripting.
• Relevant certifications in Windows, cloud platforms, or automation technologies.
