Requirements

  • The employee must occasionally use odors to determine process or equipment problems.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily production for Nimble’s operations across first, second, or third shifts based on operational needs.
  • Communicate with the team to support facility production goals on an hourly basis.
  • Develop and implement shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Provide direct supervision to warehouse personnel, matching personnel skills and backgrounds to required work.
  • Supervise inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure equipment is used efficiently.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance with management.
  • Review daily work objectives and determine shift productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.
  • Partner with other leaders to balance labor and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Draft and submit a daily end-of-shift report.
  • Recommend and work on management initiatives and programs that improve operations.
  • Manage and supervise a fleet of warehouse robots and participate in robot recovery operations as needed.
  • Document robot maintenance issues.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings covering prior-shift productivity, operational problems, workload forecasts, and other pertinent company information.
  • Assist in developing programs to train and motivate personnel for increased effectiveness.
  • Assist in developing programs for new personnel and ensure onboarding programs are followed.
  • Manage and maintain human resources practices with direct reports and ensure adherence to corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work with management and Human Resources to resolve employee-relations issues, disciplinary actions, problems, and terminations.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, guidance, and recognition to enhance personnel skill development.
  • Participate actively in employee development and talent selection.
  • Provide regular coaching and constructive performance feedback and prepare and deliver hourly performance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records.
  • Stay current on relevant information, tools, and systems as part of ongoing self-development.
  • Ensure safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operation to meet service standards.
  • Support safety programs and Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Follow documented processes for reporting, analyzing, and following up on employee injuries and accidents.
  • Ensure employees complete a daily pre-flight and review it daily.
Desired Qualifications
  • One or more years of experience working in warehouse, highly automated, or e-commerce environments is preferred.
  • Experience approving payroll time is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse and mechanical equipment is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of performance metrics, process improvement, 5S, and Lean tools is preferred.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.
