Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree with approximately 8 or more years of relevant experience, a Master's degree with approximately 6 or more years, or a PhD with approximately 4 or more years in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expert-level Python proficiency, including NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn, with experience building production-quality automation frameworks.
  • Deep expertise in test architecture, automation strategy, and validation methodologies, with success designing scalable test solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and execution of firmware verification strategies for customer specifications and NVMe protocols, including validation of SMART, Trim, Get Log Page, and OCP front-end features across multiple product lines.
  • Architect scalable grey-box, white-box, and black-box test frameworks that become organizational standards for firmware quality.
  • Drive root-cause analysis for critical field and regression failures and establish systematic debug methodologies and knowledge-sharing practices across the team.
  • Own the test infrastructure roadmap, including automation frameworks, continuous integration and continuous delivery integration, and reporting dashboards, and influence tooling decisions at the department level.
  • Design and deploy artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for test optimization, intelligent failure triage, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and test prioritization.
  • Lead code reviews, define test coverage standards, and drive continuous improvement in code quality and test effectiveness.
  • Present technical findings, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers by providing technical guidance and fostering engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate with firmware architects, product managers, and customers to define testability requirements and influence firmware architecture decisions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch and experience with machine learning operations practices.
  • Experience implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions in production testing or validation environments.
  • Deep understanding of embedded systems, firmware architecture, and hardware-software interfaces.
  • Working knowledge of storage industry standards, including NVMe, PCIe, and OCP, at the specification level.
  • Familiarity with NAND flash memory architecture and SSD firmware validation methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Rust or C for firmware code comprehension, plus Linux and Windows system administration and Git and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Contributions to open-source projects, patents, or published technical work.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives or small teams.

Micron CEO says AI demand for memory outpaces supply by 50%, unveils $10B research centre

Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said data-center customers are seeking about 50% more memory supply than the company can currently commit to, driven by AI-related demand. He cited growing needs from autonomous vehicles, robotics and AI-enabled consumer products. The comments came as Micron launched a US research centre in Boise, Idaho, backed by a planned $10 billion investment over the next decade. The facility will focus on advanced memory, computing architectures, packaging and semiconductor manufacturing. Micron has outlined more than $250 billion in planned US manufacturing and research spending. Micron shares climbed nearly 4% on Thursday. The company reported revenue growth of nearly 167% year over year.

Micron to invest $10B in AI memory research lab in Boise over next decade

Micron Technology announced plans to invest $10 billion over the next decade in a new research laboratory in Boise, Idaho, focused on advancing memory technologies and supporting future chip manufacturing. Micron, PDD Holdings, and Adobe trade at bargain valuations — but risks remain

Jim Cramer believes four memory chip stocks — Micron, SanDisk, Seagate, and Western Digital — can sustain their rallies despite substantial 2026 gains.
