We are currently seeking one student to join our Operations Management System (OMS) team as an OMS Intern. This opportunity begins May 5, 2025, for a 4-Month work term. This role is perfect for candidates with ability to adapt and communicate effectively. The successful students will be expected to work collaboratively with field and corporate staff to support the execution of the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust (PDCA) cycle.

What you will learn
- Regulatory requirements and industry best practices as they pertain to Plains and management systems
- Tools and methodologies for managing OMS activities
- Management system activities including annual planning and management review
- Different types of assurance activities
- Maintenance and oversight of gaps/findings and actions related to the OMS
- How to run an effective meeting (prepare, facilitate, minutes)
- How to analyze data and compile reports for leadership
- Tackle ad-hoc analytical assignments and reporting, gaining versatile analytical experience
- A continuous improvement mindset

Minimum qualifications
- Enrolled in at least the 2nd year of a post-secondary institution, working towards a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field;
- You will not graduate from your current bachelor’s program prior to the end date of this internship.
- Ability to commit to a 4-month work term starting May 5, 2025.
- Past entry level work experience doing customer service or relevant internships are considered an asset.
- Experience working with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook).
- Willingness to relocate to Calgary for the entire duration of the term.
- Ability to provide three satisfactory references from past managers/teachers and pass a Criminal Background Check.
