Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Two years of related experience is required.
  • Experience using the Tungsten invoicing portal is required.
  • Experience using IBM Cognos data analysis software, Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, Microsoft Excel communication and data management software, and Salesforce customer relationship software is required.
  • Proficiency in creating reports, sorting and organizing market data sets, and explaining results is required.
  • Ability to prepare research outcomes from data reports and manage multiple data sets while maintaining quality assurance is required.
  • Ability to update and maintain personnel records while maintaining operational security of student personally identifiable information is required.
  • Experience resolving payment issues between multiple parties is required.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize various tasks is required.
  • Ability to pivot between interpersonal communication, problem solving, and data entry tasks is required.
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures is required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and cross-cultural sensitivity are required.
  • Physical ability and a flexible schedule to travel to Park University campus centers located in 21 states are required.
  • Physical ability to operate computers, software, and telephones for meetings with distance students, staff, and faculty is required.
  • Ability to navigate the Parkville campus and provide workshops and facilitate face-to-face and online meetings is required.
Responsibilities
  • Work with Park University staff, faculty, and students to support Military and Veteran students.
  • Work with the Senior Director of Campus Center Operations and the Warrior Center School Certifying Official team to submit Veterans Affairs educational certifications and invoices accurately and on time.
  • Provide expertise in Veterans Affairs educational benefits, record keeping, analysis, and staff training.
  • Conduct statistical data research of Veterans Affairs certifications, invoices, and portfolios for Park Home, Online, and select Campus Centers.
  • Educate University staff about Veterans Affairs debts and regulatory expectations.
  • Compile statistical data on Military and Veteran educational benefits and develop solutions or alternate methods as required.
  • Prepare reports of findings, present data graphically, and translate complex findings into written text for internal University stakeholders.
  • Manage student records and correspondence with Veterans Affairs to improve efficiency and reduce accounting, invoicing, and documentation errors.
  • Compile, audit, and verify student-record information for Veterans Affairs educational compliance surveys and inspections.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews of Military and Veteran student files to maintain a 95% accuracy rate.
  • Manage department records and data and maintain financial records of the Global Warrior Center.
  • Gather data and prepare reports on student files, including validating degree audits and tuition and fee rates to ensure correct certification for Veterans Affairs educational benefits.
  • Collect and process required Military and Veteran student documentation and update student files.
  • Monitor the student information system for accurate reporting of student funding, tuition rates, and military status.
  • Assist internal and external auditors and conduct reviews of student accounts.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in Veterans Affairs educational benefit fiscal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor federal and non-federal funding regulations for policy and regulatory changes.
  • Provide the University with information about academic compliance issues and requirements related to policy and regulatory changes.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies and entities serving Veteran students.
  • Provide invoicing and accounting information to Vocational Rehabilitation counselors and Park University accounting personnel to support prompt payment for tuition, fees, and book purchases.
  • Train Park University faculty and staff on Military Veterans Affairs educational benefits, including the application and certification processes.
  • Oversee educational-benefit delivery services and certification for Military and Veteran students across Campus Center, Parkville, Gilbert, and Distance populations.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Director of Campus Center Operations and student work-study staff to complete invoicing, reporting, and daily clerical tasks.
  • Manage daily operations and hospitality.
