What you’ll achieve

As a Software Senior Principal Engineer, you will be a part of a team in a very fast-paced, agile environment that requires strong technical ability, flexibility, sound judgment, and creative thinking.  

You will:

• Collaborate with product management, advanced engineering, and other product architects to deliver to the market world-class products in the systems management portfolio.
• Convert marketing requirements to engineering specifications. Own and drive product architecture, design, and technology stack.
• Identify and develop differentiation opportunities, provide technical information, and make recommendations to marketing, engineering, and business executives. Lead technical forums and meetings on a regular and consistent schedule.
• Assist/guide engineering teams as required when working on tactical/time-to-market development issues. Support Customer briefings and present technical data on Dell’s product and industry direction in a convincing and authoritative form.  Responsible for generating intellectual property and supporting Dell’s legal team by providing technical support on intellectual property disputes.

Essential Requirements

• 13-18 years of Proven experience as a PostgreSQL Database Developer.
• Experience in developing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions, with a focus on time-series data management using PostgreSQL
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Experience with database design and development and documentation.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of data security and integrity. & excellent problem-solving skills.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in Agile/Scrum process
• Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
