Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physics or Master's degree in related area with 18 graduate credits in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • Two (2) years or 4,000 hours of related work experience, if teaching in an applied program
  • Foreign Transcript Evaluation: If using a foreign transcript for qualification, applicant must provide a course-by-course evaluation report to verify foreign transcripted credit equivalency. A translation of the transcript will not be sufficient to determine equivalency.
  • Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies, including learner-centered instruction, assessment, evaluation and collaborative techniques and strategies that address closing the gap in student access and achievement across race, gender and disability
  • Skill in the use of educational technology and alternative delivery methods
  • Knowledge and ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery
  • Skill in communications and human relations with populations having diverse socio-economic and racial backgrounds, as well as individuals with disabilities
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate student learning in the Liberal Arts Transfer - Engineering program, as well as allied technician preparatory programs in the School of Applied Science, Engineering & Technology. Depending on education and experience, courses taught may include, but are not limited to: Engineering Seminar, Intro to Engineering, Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Machine Design, Fundamentals of Engineering/Manufacturing Materials, Manufacturing Processes, Quality Systems, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, AC/DC Circuit Techniques and Principles, Circuit Modeling 1, Circuit Modeling 2, Introduction to Computer Engineering, Introductory Engineering Graphics, Reverse Engineering & SolidWorks Assemblies
