Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of twenty years of job-related experience is required.
  • A relevant license within the discipline is required, such as Registered Architect, Professional Engineer, Structural Engineer, Professional Landscape Architect, or Professional Land Surveyor.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and verify the accuracy and quality of technical work to ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and best practices.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets and schedules, identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure the technical, quality, and financial performance of the technical team meets organizational and client expectations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for resolving technical, engineering, and project-related issues, providing guidance and solutions to teams.
  • Act as the Designer of Record when required, ensuring design accountability and technical integrity.
  • Collaborate and communicate with managers, clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams to support project success.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and testing to confirm compliance with design specifications and performance standards.
  • Prepare and oversee workload forecasts, staffing plans, and resource allocation to meet project and departmental goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets and schedules for complex technical projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to timelines.
  • Deliver technical presentations and reports internally and externally to communicate progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable environmental, survey, and permitting regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve contract documents and agreements related to the technical discipline for accuracy and completeness.
  • Supervise and mentor technical staff, conduct performance evaluations, approve timesheets, and ensure adherence to company standards and expectations.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of annual business goals and multi-year strategic plans to promote operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and other related software programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients, project team members, vendors, and other external groups.
