Requirements
  • At least 10+ years of benefits experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Adapted and evolved benefits operations and/or strategy, ideally through multiple phases of company growth
  • Ability to strike a balance between strategic vision-building and rolling up your sleeves
  • A deep sense of empathy and understanding for the needs of diverse groups of people
  • Comfort with interpreting and using people data to tell a story and translating it into actionable strategy
  • Adept at building and nurturing trusting relationships both internally and externally at all levels
Responsibilities
  • Create a global benefits strategy aligned with Gusto's values and mission: By working alongside your People team and functional leaders, you'll have the creative freedom to elevate our existing benefits and design a customized and scalable benefits strategy that anchors around our company values
  • Being the benefits side first point of contact for our people team, leaders, and vendors: You'll leverage your experience in benefits design, broker management, and stakeholder management and help resolve issues by working with our numerous partners and vendors. Over time, you'll adapt our resources and benefits education strategy to provide our employees with the information they need when they need it
  • Managing organizational change: You'll jump right in, assess our existing program, and build a roadmap for how we take our benefits from where they are today to the next stage globally. From thinking through the communication plan across multiple office locations to building intentional wellness initiatives, your focus will not only be on what we launch but also how we land it
  • Act as a subject matter expert in due diligence of acquisitions, and manage post acquisition integration
  • Lead, work alongside, and develop a team of subject matter experts within the benefits COE
  • Executing benefits initiatives: you will own day-to-day execution of the benefits function and team, ensuring our benefit programs are operating efficiently and delivering value to our employees
