Apprentice Accountant

The Finance Department at INSEAD manages financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The General Ledger Accounting Team oversees accounting records, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. They handle reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with regulatory standards, supporting the institution's fiscal integrity and operational efficiency.

INSEAD is seeking to renew the Apprentice Accountant General Ledger for our Finance department within the General Ledger Accounting team. This is an apprenticeship based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France.

About the Job

The apprentice will be reporting to the General Ledger Senior Accountant and supervised by the global General Ledger manager. He will have to assist the General Ledger Team in their daily duties.

Your Responsibilities

• Enter bank entries on the INSEAD Association entity. 
• Participation in bank reconciliation work. 
• Record GL book entries for French entities under the supervision of the senior accountant
• Reconciliation of GL account
• Book-keep the INSEAD Residences entity on Account Receivables:
  • Record revenue and payment in Oracle
  • Reconcile with Protel
  • Manage relation with Residences team 
• TAX: preparation of the DAS2 report under the supervision of the Tax senior accountant
• ADHOC: collaborate in the accounting system enhancement

Requirements

• a licence in Finance & Accounting
• Good communicational skills in French and English
• Well organised and detail oriented
• Motivated, serious, punctual and reliable
• Ability to work autonomously and team spirit 
• Tech savvy, at ease with accounting softwares and the Office pack
