Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development credential is required.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in home infusion pharmacy billing and collections is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to prioritize, solve problems, and multitask is required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily accomplishments support company goals for cash collections, accounts receivable over 90 days, ready-to-bill claims under 14 days, weekly and month-end close processes, and other departmental goals.
  • Conduct collections and timely follow-ups with insurance companies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Process unpaid claims quickly to ensure proper handling by branch and billing personnel.
  • Make necessary demographic changes to reduce rejections of submitted electronic and paper claims.
  • Identify patterns of non-compliance by branch staff in completing patient registration, supporting billing documentation, and delivery tickets.
  • Submit secondary billing in a timely manner, when applicable, with supporting documentation according to payer-specific guidelines.
  • Work within specified deadlines and stressful situations.
  • Work overtime when necessary to meet department goals and objectives.
  • Perform other assigned tasks or special projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • A college degree in accounting or business is preferred.
  • Commercial, Medicare, Florida Medicaid, and home infusion billing experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, and Medicare reimbursement is preferred.
