  • Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field
  • five (5) years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
  • Requires strong technical knowledge within a job area or system and basic knowledge across related technical areas
  • Ability to function on a 24x7x365 on-call support rotation
  • Some travel is required to our generation facilities although we do most of our support work remotely.
Responsibilities
  • Supporting applications such as Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems, Aveva PI, GMIS (PowerSuite), TKPro/SafeTK LOTO, Ignition HMI, and ABB Symphony Plus HMI.
  • Overseeing software and hardware utilization to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Applying critical security patching, engineering updates, and technical support across IT and OT environments.
  • Troubleshooting application, system, and network issues under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Collaborating with plant operators, engineers, and IT teams to improve lifecycle management.
  • Participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule for mission-critical applications.
  • Providing remote support with occasional travel to APS power plants.
Desired Qualifications
  • Self motivated.
  • Knowledge of safety policies, practices and procedures; basic knowledge of computer science and/or engineering; generation, transmission and distribution system design, operations, and procedures; systems software and database administration; network and workstation technologies; technical issues related to energy management systems and applications; software, hardware and telecommunication; systems for real-time data collection and exchange.
  • Skill in developing and writing technical documentation; evaluating and testing emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work in varied settings from data centers to offices and industrial remote locations.
  • Knowledge of human to machine interface systems, generation and outage management applications, SQL application databases, lock out/tag out safety systems, federal emissions reporting applications, enterprise security tools, and critical infrastructure protection.
  • Skilled in Microsoft SCCM patching deployments, Aveva PI administration, IT help desk, and hardware support.
  • Network switching and/or routing experience is a requirement.
  • Virtual server support and including VMWare experience is a plus.
