What you can do:
- Provide architecture and integration of Air Data System.
- Define and validate the system-level and item-level requirements for Air Data System and support sensors selection.
- Work with Aerodynamics and airframe teams to ensure proper calibration and characterization of the air data sensors and validation of locations for proper aerodynamic and aircraft propulsion effects correction.
- Work with certification team to aid in establishing certification basis for Air Data System.
- Participate and review system safety analysis of Air Data System to ensure aircraft safety.
- Support the verification team by creating system level test procedures for Air Data Systems to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Work with the flight test team to design tests that safely evaluate the system.
- Support development of compliance documentation such as system descriptions, system test procedures, system certification plan, support to issue papers development and responses.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you can contribute:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, electrical or other related fields
- A minimum of five (5) years in Avionics and/or Electronic Systems development and integration experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Experience with DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 processes.
- Experience with ARP-4754 and ARP-4761 processes
- Familiarization with SAE AS8002, AS8006, and AS5562
- Experience with requirements development, validation and verification (IBM DOORS or other requirements management tools)
- Experience with managing supplier technical deliverables in an engineering environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
You may also be able to contribute:
- Prior experience with certification of Part 23, Part 25, Part 27, or Part 29 aircraft through FAA or other regulatory agencies.
- Prior experience with air data system for rotorcraft certification is a plus
- Familiar with DO-160 to support environmental qualification definition.
- Familiar with Avionics related Technical Standard Orders
- Experience with Sensor Navigation systems such as AHRS, Inertial, GPS and Radio Altimeter is a plus
Salary Range: 130,000 - 150,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
