Full-Stack Software Engineer

Continua has launched an AI agent that users can invite into group conversations to make planning, coordination, and information retrieval effortless. We were recently written up in this TechCrunch article.

We've seen rapid growth over the last quarter, and are looking for someone who can help us improve the quality of our agent experience and scale to the next level.

This position is based at our office in New York, NY. We are on-site 3+ days per week.

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and scaling our AI-powered group conversation platform. You'll work across our tech stack, including Python and Go backend services, Postgres databases, and React frontend applications. You'll collaborate closely with the rest of our team to integrate cutting-edge AI models into user-facing features that delight our rapidly growing user base.

We're seeking an experienced engineer who can balance technical excellence with product intuition, making smart UX decisions that help us move quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you’ll work on:

• Designing and implementing robust APIs and backend services using Python and Go to power our AI agent platform

• Designing and optimizing how our data is stored to handle our growing user base

• Working with our ML engineers to integrate AI models into production systems, writing the code that connects our models to user experiences

• Building responsive, intuitive React applications using Tailwind CSS

• Partnering with our CEO, product manager, and designer to translate requirements into technical solutions, using your judgment to make good UX decisions when moving fast

• Ensuring our applications can handle rapid user growth while maintaining excellent performance and reliability

Who you are:

• 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience

• Solid experience with SQL and database design, preferably with Postgres experience

• Experience building modern web apps with React and CSS frameworks like Tailwind

• Strong product intuition and design fundamentals

• Proven ability to take ownership and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience integrating machine learning models into production applications

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and infrastructure tools like Terraform

• Background in AI/ML or natural language processing

• Experience building real-time or conversational applications

• Previous experience at high-growth startups or building products from 0 to 1
