Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace Engineering preferred
  • Good knowledge of basic fluid and thermal simulators, attitude to preliminary design approaches and tools
  • Previous experience in fluid and thermal management system field
  • Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design hand calculations
  • Ability to work successfully in global team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Responsibilities
  • Support fluid and thermal concepting during the preliminary design studies of emerging engines architectures
  • Contributing to the lube/thermal cooling systems and Thermal Management System (TMS) activities during the development phases, coordinating related activities and external resources where required.
  • Execute fluid and thermal detailed design for advanced systems and development programs
  • Run dedicated fluid dynamic analysis to substantiate new solutions and/or investigations as needed
  • Be able to solve fluid and thermal tasks and problems using experience and available data
  • Integrate technology development plans to support the programs needs, working within a global extended team
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Strongly interact and collaborate with other Avio Aero engineering sections and ATO sub sections
  • Be part of the Fluid-thermal communities within GE and support the discipline area development
