Role Overview
Israeli products typically refer to financial instruments that are tied to the Israeli market / economy. These products are traded or brokered on behalf of clients and may include:
Fixed Income: Interest Rate Swaps and Bonds issued by the Israeli government.
Money Market: FX forwards which involves ILS (typically USD/ILS) and funding.
Derivatives: Swaptions, futures, or other derivative products linked to Israel.
Israel has a robust and innovative economy, driven by industries like technology, pharmaceuticals, and defence. Investors may seek exposure to Israeli markets for diversification or to capitalise on specific growth sectors. While traditionally part of Emerging Markets (EM), Israel is also considered an OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) country, and its economy have been facing a lot of challenges in the recent year, given the security situation in the region. Brokers specialising in Israeli products cater to these needs by offering expertise, insights, and tailored services in this niche market.
This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about financial markets, eager to learn, and ready to build a career specialising in EM. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in broking, with a focus on Israeli Products. This is a unique opportunity to get exposure to a multiple-asset desk and not be confined to a single product.
Role Responsibilities
Promote TP ICAP Group.
Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk.
Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems.
Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally, and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies.
Keep trade records up to date.
Update real-time manual / electronic whiteboards with market data.
Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders.
Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.
Give live quotes to traders through the messaging systems.
Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.
Liaise with clients, (via telephone and face to face) to understand the business objectives of your clients as to provide a reliable and efficient broking service.
Develop new business with existing clients and on-board new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team.
Experience / Competences
Essential
Educated to a degree level (e.g. BA) is advantageous.
Demonstrated understanding in the financial markets and the economy.
Familiarity and understanding of the country of Israel and current affairs in relation to financial markets.
