Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus at least 8 years of related experience in knowledge management and organizational learning, working on complex international development programs with a preference for Global Health supply chain.
  • Proven knowledge management team lead experience, and in developing and implementing a wide range of knowledge management activities, including knowledge products, website development, digital campaigns (e.g., e-newsletters, social media strategy, traditional media engagement, success stories) as well as written collateral and products.
  • Demonstrated experience in both strategic planning and adaptive management, including the USAID principles of collaborating, learning, and adapting.
  • Experience with online and face-to-face approaches to knowledge management and learning.
  • Experience with knowledge management platforms in the developing world.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent analytic skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and growth of knowledge management and learning strategies to enhance coordination, communication, and collaboration across all NextGen awards, supporting the goals of the NextGen initiative and ensuring high-quality implementation.
  • Design, develop, and manage a Knowledge Management (KM) and learning platform. This platform will serve as a central hub for all NextGen implementing partners (IPs) and select USAID staff, facilitating resource sharing, communication, and updates through features such as a shared library, communication templates, and pages for news and announcements.
  • Ensure the platform is user-friendly, fosters collaboration, and meets the diverse needs of stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate learning exchanges, communities of practice, and activities such as technical working groups, evidence/learning summits, symposia, and other learning engagements among USAID and NextGen IPs.
  • Document and disseminate outputs from learning events, including best practices, lessons learned, and actionable recommendations.
  • Guide the development and implementation of the NextGen technical learning agenda to align learning priorities across stakeholders and inform future project activities.
  • Oversee the creation of tailored knowledge products, including research findings, case studies, newsletters, infographics, story maps, and other data-driven visualizations to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Curate and maintain a repository of shared resources, such as guidance documents, tools, and templates, to support consistent communication and coordination.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of NextGen program data to extract and share insights. Disseminate evaluation findings, best practices, and lessons learned through both traditional and innovative channels to maximize stakeholder engagement and project impact.
  • Develop and enhance web-based features, dashboards, and databases to improve accessibility and engagement for knowledge-sharing and learning activities.
  • Track and analyze platform usage and engagement metrics, as well as the outcomes of learning events, to refine and improve KM tools and strategies.
  • Promote strategic collaboration, adaptive management, and continuous learning by integrating lessons learned and stakeholder feedback into KM initiatives.
  • Plan and lead webinars, workshops, and conferences designed to share findings and foster collaboration across NextGen IPs and USAID teams.
