- Applicants should possess a Bachelors or, preferably, an advanced degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or other relevant fields with laboratory experience.
- Experience in proteomics, metabolomics or lipidomics disease and immunology associated samples is a plus.
- Experience in data management.
- Perform Edman (n-terminal) sequencing and related sample preparation.
- Perform mass spectrometry-based proteomic sample preparation techniques, including proteolytic digestions, peptide labeling, and protein purifications.
- Assist with sample preparation and derivatization of metabolites and lipids in samples from disease models.
- Assist with maintaining instrumentation in good working order.
- Aid in the mentoring and training of young investigators.
- Track and maintain chemical and consumable inventories.
- Maintain and organize sample storage.
- Ensure referenceable data storage and assist with data preprocessing and filtering.
- Communicate with collaborators punctually concerning project details, timelines, and reports.
