Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in a sales coordination, project coordination, or customer-facing role, preferably within construction, millwork, cabinetry, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of the homebuilding process and the ability to speak confidently about cabinetry capabilities and coordinate sales, design, production, and delivery schedules.
  • Experience working with point-of-sale, enterprise resource planning, and customer relationship management systems, with comfort learning and adapting to new business technologies.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to manage builder and customer relationships independently.
  • A track record of meeting targets while taking full ownership of individual responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Own assigned Mattamy and external builder cabinetry projects from quotation through post-installation support, ensuring pricing, specifications, schedules, and records remain accurate and complete.
  • Develop quotations and pricing proposals, apply approved cabinetry layouts to individual lots, process upgrade selections, and prepare confirmed specifications for release to production.
  • Act as the key point of contact among customers, builders, and internal teams to ensure project expectations are clearly understood and executed.
  • Build client relationships by providing responsive service, product samples, finish selections, and materials to support customer decisions and sales presentations.
  • Relay customer feedback, builder requirements, and requests for new products, finishes, or configurations to the design team to inform catalogue development and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain a customer relationship management pipeline of prospective customers and opportunities, contribute to sales forecasting by keeping data current and communicating assumptions to sales leadership, and use point-of-sale, enterprise resource planning, and customer relationship management systems to process orders and maintain accurate product data.
  • Coordinate production, delivery, and installation schedules with builders, manufacturing, installers, and logistics partners, flagging conflicts that could affect project milestones.
  • Track project progress, communicate updates, delays, and action items to stakeholders, and provide post-installation support by documenting and resolving deficiencies and service requests while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, or customer relationship management data maintenance in a volume-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Ontario's new-home residential construction market, builder processes, or decor centre operations.
  • Experience working inside a builder's design centre or selections programme.
  • Proficiency with project management or scheduling tools such as Procore, BuilderTrend, or equivalent.
  • Certified Sales Leadership Professional designation.
  • An MBA or master's degree in a related discipline.

Stelumar packages residential construction into modular, factory-made components in Canada, using automation, robotics, and AI to produce walls, floors, roofing, volumetric modules, and cabinetry. Stelumar Communities delivers end-to-end modular housing projects, from planning to handover, for private developers, governments, and institutions. Its differentiators include backing from Mattamy Asset Management with Mattamy Homes as an anchor customer, an independent structure serving a broad client base, and a scalable model targeting about 3,000 housing units per year beginning in 2026. The company aims to help solve Canada's housing shortage by making construction faster, more consistent, and more affordable through industrialized modular construction across low- and mid-rise housing, rentals, affordable housing, student housing, and hospitality.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Stelumar reported February 2026 hackathon progress, signaling active product and supplier development.
  • Mattamy remains Stelumar’s inaugural customer, supporting early utilization through 2026.
  • A 3,000-unit annual target and 75% domestic sourcing align with Canada housing policy.

What critics are saying

  • Stelumar’s 2026 factory still lacks a finalized GTA site as of June 2025.
  • Hundreds of millions in equipment spending and debt financing pressure returns before volume ramps.
  • Gilgan’s earlier prefab company failed in 2009, exposing execution risk if costs slip.

What makes Stelumar unique

  • Peter Gilgan and Mattamy Homes give Stelumar captive demand and deep capital backing.
  • Stelumar’s Ontario factories build six-storey modular systems, not only detached suburban homes.
  • Automated walls, floors, cabinets, and volumetric modules create a vertically integrated platform.
